Your wedding website is a one stop shop for your guests to prepare for your wedding day. They’re so fun to make and will save you from answering many questions that your guests might have. I ordered my wedding save the dates through Minted. They have so many great save the date and invitation options to choose from and they offer you a free wedding website for one year. This post will go over everything you need to include on your wedding website to put your guests’ minds at ease and lessen the overwhelming questions you would otherwise receive.

Share Your Story
If someone is invited to your wedding, they’re probably pretty close with you. However, they may not know the proposal story or the story of how you met. Share a little about yourselves by telling everyone how you met, what you enjoy doing together and how the proposal went down. This is a great idea for your wedding websites landing page. Include pictures from your engagement photoshoot as well!
Introduce Your Bridal Party
Introducing your bridal party is fun and a nice added touch. Plus some nosey guests will want to know who you chose to be in your wedding party. Introduce your bridal party, add a picture if you’d like and give a little blurb about how and how long you’ve known each other.
Travel Accommodations
Give your guests all the travel and lodging accommodation options to help with their planning.
Include the closest airport options, the distance of the venue from the airport, and any airlines that you know travel directly into that airport.
If you’re doing a room block, include this information on your wedding website. Be sure to let them know when they need to book it. It’s also helpful to find other hotels nearby with more affordable options.
Things To Do In the Area
Some of your out of town guests will want to make a vacation out of your wedding weekend. Give them your favorite recommendations of places in the area. We included our favorite restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, and beaches in the area.
Registry
Make a tab on your website to link your wedding registry. It’s always a nice gesture to let people know how they can help. For instance if you’re taking a honeymoon and want to do a honeymoon fund, let them know where you’re going. If you want to have a house fund, let them know how much you can’t wait to be homeowners together.
Frequently Asked Questions
Save yourselves some stress by answering your guests’ questions on a wedding website before they have they chance to ask. Here are also some politely written responses to frequently asked questions.
What is the dress code?
Let them know if the attire is cocktail, black tie, or formal.
Is it an open bar?
Who doesn’t love an open bar? Let them know with some cute sayings. “The drinks are on us, the hangover is on you”, or “we waited 425 days for this, drink accordingly”.
Do I get a plus one?
This is the question that everyone wants to know and is a little uncomfortable to address, so putting it on your wedding website makes it a tad bit easier. The short answer… “Our wedding is RSVP only, your invitation will indicate the number of guests”. Letting your guests know that you want your wedding to be intimate will make them feel special.
Are my children invited?
Some weddings are “adult only” and that is perfectly fine. You could also give your guests an option to bring their kids to the ceremony and keep your reception adult only.
Where can I park?
Let them know if there is onsite parking or vale, as well as the cost of parking or valeting.
What will the weather be like?
Consider the season of your wedding and what the temperature is typically like.
When do I have to RSVP?
Every bride stresses about getting RSVPs back in time. This is also a great spot to remind people of that date.
Are there wheelchair accessible options?
First find out from your venue what options they have, then include them here.
Is there a live stream option?
Some guests may have a very difficult time traveling but also don’t want to miss your big day. My grandmother wasn’t able to make it to our wedding, due to unforeseen circumstances and we were able to stream it for her for free! We used the website called Love Cast. The stream quality was great!
