The most memorable wedding gifts that we received weren’t part of our wedding registry. Registries are set as a guide for your guests and meant to fill your home with new items that you need when you start your life together as husband and wife. However, there were certain gifts that we received that really stuck out to us that we will remember forever. If you’re looking to buy something for the happy couple in your life, consider some of these gifts and ideas.

Book From Childhood
This was one we received from my parents. My favorite book as a kid was “Guess How Much I Love You”. My dad made a reference to the book in his speech, then used the book as a card to leave me a message inside. It was both sentimental and nostalgic and is now displayed on my nightstand.
Bouquet Charm
Your wedding day is one of the most special days you’ll ever have. It can be sometimes hard to think about spending it without the ones you love, making this day a little bit hard too. Bouquet charms are a great way to keep the ones you’ve lost in your memory and close to you on your wedding day.
My bridesmaid surprised me with this beautiful bouquet charm with a picture of my grandpa and earrings from my mom that she wore on her wedding. It was the most touching gift I received. Mine was handmade but you can get one on Etsy HERE.
Folded Money
Monetary gifts are pretty standard wedding gifts. Giving money is just easier and allows the couple to buy whatever they may need to start their life together as husband and wife. But monetary gifts don’t have to be boring. Our aunt folded these into cute wedding themed shapes and stuck them in the card. It was super cute and creative and we’ll always remember it. We had her recreate it with dollar bills so we could keep them in our wedding keepsake box forever.
Handmade Card
You’ll get a ton of cards for your wedding, but I’m sure you’ll get very few handmade cards. If you do receive a handmade card you’ll probably never forget it. My aunt makes the most beautiful handmade cards. They’re so unique, creative, and are truly one of a kind. I love the texture of them and that it was made specifically for us. I would highly recommend giving a handmade card for the next wedding you attend, or for any occasion for that matter. Check out my aunt’s online shop HERE.
Personalized Wedding Prayer Light Box
This light box is a great gift for the wedding couple. It’s personalized with the couple’s names and their wedding day. It can be used as a night light or to store your wedding keepsakes or wedding cards.
Engraved Sweatshirt
This wasn’t a gift from any of our guests but was a gift from my groom. This sweatshirt idea is so cool. He chose the colors based on my favorite color (purple), and our wedding color (green). The stitching is a photo from our engagement shoot with our wedding date on the sleeve.
Ornament
This wasn’t given to us at our wedding but a few weeks after our wedding, my aunt surprised us with this in the mail. I loved getting this in the mail and was so excited to have our first ornament for our tree as a married couple. I will always remember receiving it. This is an easy memorable wedding gift idea-take some pictures at their wedding and make the newlyweds an ornament on Shutterfly.
