Your wedding flowers were stunning. You spent so much on them to enjoy them for just one day. What do you do with them now? This post will give you some ideas on ways to use your wedding flowers after your wedding day.

Flowers make the wedding and are such a beautiful addition to the venue but they’re so expensive and it’s a shame to just have them for one day. You purchased your flowers, so they’re technically yours. They’re yours to do what you want with them after the wedding. That might also mean it’s your responsibility to get them out of your venue if it’s not part of your wedding coordinator’s job. Here’s what to do with them:
1. Give Your Flowers To Residents Of A Nursing Home
My husband and I met in a nursing home so this was something we really wanted to do but due to COVID we unfortunately could not. Anyways, I absolutely love this idea. You’ll make their day and while you’re there, be sure to ask them for their marriage advice. Show up in your wedding dress and you’ll really make their day.
2. Use Them To Remember Loved Ones
This is a great way to bring a piece of the wedding to them. Bring them to their gravestone or use them in a shadow/memory box. It’s a great way to honor those you missed on your wedding day.
3. Send Flowers Home With Your Guests
I gave our centerpieces away to some of our guests the next morning at our brunch and it absolutely made their day. Everyone raved about our flowers (thank you Leaf It To Us) so our guests were honored to get to take some home and enjoy them for a little bit longer. Especially if you’re going on a honeymoon right away like we did, they’ll sadly start dying by the time you get back. Our wedding was 11/11/22 and by Thanksgiving our guests were still able to use them as a centerpiece on their Thanksgiving Day table.
4. Give Some Flowers To The Staff
Your vendors and venue staff worked so hard to make your day absolutely perfect for you. Giving them some of your flowers is a great way to thank them. It’ll surely make them smile and is such a nice gesture.
5. Preserve Your Wedding Bouquet
This is something you can easily do yourself. Hang it upside down for a few days, then spray it with hairspray. I bought clear spray paint and used that as well. Drying it out helps maintain the bouquet’s shape and color. Once it’s dried, you can display it in a vase or display box.
6. Press Them
This is such an easy way to enjoy your flowers forever. Press them in a book then display them in a frame, shadow box or clear photo frame magnet. They make great wall decor that you can admire forever. This is a simple and affordable DIY project.
7. Have Them Made Into Something
There are so many things you can have made using your wedding flowers. There are so many beautiful decor and gift ideas out there such as a ring holder, jewelry, ornament, coasters, key chain, or wall art. Hop on over to etsy to see. These are my favorite picks.

8. Take Them To Your First Date Place
Bring some flowers back to your first date spot. Maybe it was a restaurant or maybe your first date was at the beach, mini golf, movie theater, bowling alley, or a park. Wherever it was, bring some of your wedding flowers back there. Leave your mark at that place! It’ll be fun, spontaneous and memorable.
Picking any of these options will make you feel good about using your wedding flowers for more than just a day. Put this in your plan so you aren’t overwhelmed the morning after your wedding scrambling to clean up flowers from your wedding. Save this now, you’ll thank me later.
